Alex Li
Alexander D. Q. Li received his PhD in inorganic chemistry from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). After graduation, he was honored with a postdoctoral director fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory (Los Alamos, NM), where he later became a technical staff member, leading a research group on chemistry of materials and chemical microsensors. Inspired by teaching and innovative research, Dr. Li joined the faculty at Washington State University (Pullman, WA) in 2000, where he initiated new research directions on hybrid foldamers and photoswitchable molecular probes. Currently, the philosophy in his group is to use novel approaches to solve problems in chemical, physical, and biological sciences.
