Faiz Rahman
Faiz Rahman has been involved with nanoscale semiconductor devices for more than 17 years. With varied interests in materials science, physics and electronics engineering and experience in both academic and industrial research, he has the right blend of background and experience required to survey the global state of the art in nanotechnology. As a member of the Electronics and Electrical Engineering faculty of the University of Glasgow, Dr Rahman is involved with research on sub-micron transistors and on photonic crystal light-emitting diodes. Before joining the University of Glasgow, he worked at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation as a senior technology development engineer. Prior to that, he was involved for several years with a NASA/ESA project at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California. Dr Rahman holds several academic and professional qualifications, has written many papers and articles and is a senior member of the IEEE.
