Fong Kwong Yam

Fong Kwong Yam is an associate professor at the School of Physics, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia. He is also the program chairman for engineering physics at USM. He earned his PhD in solid state physics from USM and is a specialist in condensed matter physics. He has been an engineer with Seiko Instruments (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and a research officer and then a lecturer and researcher at USM. He has authored or coauthored 1 book, 2 book chapters, and more than 250 research papers in journals of international repute.
