
Francis Ring
Francis Ring first qualified as a fellow of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences, UK, and joined the Arthritis Research Unit at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Bath, UK, in 1958. He retired from the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in 2001 as director of Clinical Measurement and Imaging. He then took up the post of director of Medical Imaging Research at the University of Glamorgan from which he formally retired in 2017. He is an active member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) of Great Britain, being on the Science Council, Awards Council, and the Imaging Science Group. He is a fellow of the RPS and an accredited senior imaging scientist.
