Takahiro Imai

Takahiro Imai received his BEng and MEng in applied chemical engineering and DEng in materials science from Waseda University in 1996, 1998, and 2006, respectively. He joined Toshiba Corporation in 1998. Dr. Imai is presently engaged in the development of electrical insulation materials and systems for switchgear at the Power and Industrial Systems R&D Center of Toshiba Corporation. He is a recipient of the IEEJ Distinguished Paper Award (2006); member of the IEEE, the Society of Polymer Science, Japan, and the IEEJ; and secretary of the IEEJ Nanocomposite Committee.
