
Timothy T Y Tan
Timothy T.Y. Tan obtained his BEng in chemical engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2000. He graduated from the same university in 2004 with a PhD in chemical engineering under the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship awarded by the Australian government. Following his two-year stint as a research fellow with the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore, he joined the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, where he is currently an associate professor. He is also the director and founder of Agiplex Pte Ltd, an NTU spin-off whose core business is to provide antimicrobial solutions to industries. Professor Tan’s research interests are in nanomaterial architecture and structure tailoring for cancer and regenerative medicine, energy harvesting, and water remediation. He has published extensively in these fields.
