Jang-Yu Hsu
Professor Hsu started his research career in theoretical plasma physics. He completed his PhD at Princeton University in 1977. His research interests include chaos and stochasiticy, statistical physics and kinetic theory, waves and transport and magnetohydrodynamics. He has published his work in Physics Review Letters and Physics of Fluids. He taught computer science courses in both SDU and SDSU. He has written numerous codes in FORTRAN, PERL and ASSEMBLY, but prefers MATLAB and C++ for scientific computing. His recent research and teaching are along computational nanoscience, with a greater interest in nanoclusters, carbon nanotubes and molecular devices. He teaches graduate courses at both National Cheng Ku University and National Tsing Hua University.
