Patrice Mélinon
Patrice Mélinon obtained his doctorate in physics of materials from the University of Lyon, France, in 1982. After postdoctoral work at EPFL, Switzerland, he joined the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), University of Lyon, as associate researcher in 1982. Since 1998, Dr Mélinon has been director of research in the Condensed Matter and Nanostructure Physics Laboratory (LPMCN) of the CNRS. His current interests include cage-like-carbon-based materials, clathrates, inorganic cluster physics, and size effects.
Bruno Masenelli obtained his doctorate in material physics from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, in 1999. After postdoctoral work at EPFL, Switzerland, he joined the LPMCN, where he studied cage-like carbon and silicon-based nanomaterials. Since 2010, Prof. Masenelli has been working at Lyon Institute of Nanotechnology, France. His current interests include high-gap oxide nano-objects for optoelectronics and photovoltaics.
