Satyendra Mishra
Satyendra Mishra obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, in 1989. In the same year, he started his career as assistant lecturer at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India. From 1991 to 1994, he worked as senior scientific officer (grade II and subsequently grade I) in the Delhi College of Engineering (now known as Delhi Technological University), India. He joined North Maharashtra University (NMU), India, in 1994 and served as reader and head and later professor and head from 1999 in the University Department of Chemical Technology, now known as the University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT), NMU. Currently, he is HAG professor and founder director of UICT. Prof. Mishra has been continually engaged in teaching and research activities for the past 33 years. He has published over 216 research papers in various international and national journals, 1 book and 3 book chapters, 7 course materials for the AICTE and filed 10 Indian patents. He is recipient of several awards for his excellent contribution in research and academics. His areas of research are polymer-based nanocomposites, hybrid nanomaterial–based composites for gas-sensing applications, nanocatalysis, wood polymer composites, biodegradable polymers, water-soluble polymers, conducting polymers, nanopolymers and reaction engineering aspects of depolymerisation reactions.
